Dilys Dance Studio is an inclusive school offering expert, friendly tuition in RAD Ballet and other styles of dance and fitness. Children and adults can enjoy our variety of classes which are dotted around Woodbridge, Suffolk. Our teachers are passionate about dance and fitness with bags of experience and pockets full of inspiration. We offer the opportunity to take Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examinations which are wonderful milestones to work towards giving children a huge sense of achievement and even contributing to UCAS points. Although RAD exams are highly acclaimed we understand if you choose not to partake and your child will progress through our classes with their peers. We also offer public and non-public performance opportunities.
Dilys Dance Studio is a long awaited dream, I️ (Faye) came up with the name in my London flat way before the big move came about. Dilys is Welsh for perfect, and as every dancer knows, practice makes perfect. So the name made perfect sense! My dream for Dilys Dance Studio is to help people’s confidence and to provide a place to have fun and let go of the day to day as that’s what dancing did (and still does) for me. Be that imagining you’re a space rocket zooming through the sky, performing a triple pirouette or mastering teamwork with your dance friends. Perfect comes in many different packages.
I began dancing at Whitton Morris School of Dancing where I took BBO Ballet examinations up to Grade 8, ISTD Modern and Jazz Examinations. After school I knew I wanted to become a dancer but would need a scholarship to in order to make this dream a reality, so I studied Musical Theatre at West Cheshire College which was renowned for audition preparation. After a lot of hard work I auditioned and was offered places to study at vocational colleges with a DADA award and scholarship. I chose to study at Studios La Pointe College in Leeds. After working abroad I️ came back to study at the Royal Academy of Dance to become a registered ballet teacher with the RAD. Several fun years of teaching in London later, I️ decided to move out to the country to start a family and run my own dance school.
I am a Graduate of the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies which provided me with an in-depth insight of the RAD Syllabus. I hold a Registered Teacher Status (RTS) and offer children the opportunity to enter Ballet Examinations and perform in Shows. I am proud to say I have a 100% success rate for all our pupils entered in RAD examinations.

Miss Phoebe joined Dilys Dance Studio at the start of 2018 and has fast become an integral member of our team. She is wonderfully imaginative and brings a great sense of fun to her teaching. Not one to shy away from hard work Miss Phoebe moved to London at 11 years old to study at Tring Park School for Performing Arts. Before this she was trained in the RAD method in Hong Kong and has completed all of the RAD exams up to Advanced Two. Miss Phoebe graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance from the University of Suffolk in 2017 and currently teaches Ballet, Creative Ballet, Contemporary and Street Dance at Dilys Dance Studio, BabyBallet and Dance East. On top of all this, Miss Phoebe works for the NHS as a Care Assistant. A busy bee indeed!
